Vivian Girls – Share the Joy

The Vivian Girls have a new one coming out on Polyvinyl Records called Share the Joy. This is the third LP by the group and will be released on April 12, 2011. The girls bring more of their punk meets girl-group charm on Share the Joy, which is the sharpest and most refined album in their catalogue. Some of the fuzz and immediate punk energy of earlier recordings has gone away, but the Vivian Girls’ enjoyable hooks are still in place and they seem to be experimenting a bit on expanding their sound on a few of these tracks.
