Hunx and His Punx – Too Young To Be In Love

San Francisco’s Hunx and His Punx have just released their new album Too Young to be in Love on Hardly Art. Too Young to be in Love contains a set of punk songs that pull from 50’s and 60’s girl fronted pop acts. Of course, the real thing that sets them apart from other girl groups doing a similar act is that Hunx and His Punx is led by their flamboyantly gay frontman Hunx. Earlier recordings contained songs that were more uh… explicit… but Too Young to be in Love tempers that a bit (for better or worse) to produce a more mature debut album that is as equally enjoyable as their previous output. Have a listen to the title track “Too Young to be in Love” below:

Check them out while they’re on tour. I hear they put on a pretty entertaining show.
