Crystal Stilts – In Love With Oblivion

Crystal Stilts are following up their 2008 release Alight of Night with a new album by the name of In Love with Oblivion. This album expands on their sound, combining the previous mixture of 60’s psych pop and 80’s post-punk with some more bluesy sounds and greater attention to melody. They also shed a few layers from their hazy atmosphere to clean things up a bit. This one’s a little less dark and a bit more upbeat with better production, resulting in a fuller sound. Previous Stilts fans shouldn’t worry, though. All of the basic elements are still in place. In Love With Oblivion will be out on Slumberland April 12, 2011.
