Hozac Records released the debut album by the People’s Temple entitled Sons of Stone on April 19th, 2011. Based in Lansing, MI, the People’s Temple play a brand of retro-inspired garage psych. There are a number of touchstones (Love, 13th Floor Elevators, Rolling Stones) present on this album, but ultimately the People’s Temple come up with their own sound as they blend their influences together.
