Link Wray – Link Wray and the Raymen (2011 reissue)

Originally released in 1960, Link Wray’s classic debut album Link Wray and the Raymen is back in print by Rumble Records in its original vinyl format. This instrumental album is a collection of his first three singles with several other tracks he had recorded to round out the album. Link Wray and the Raymen contains a bunch of classic Link tunes such as “Rumble”, “Raw Hide”, “Dixie Doodle”, and “Commanche”. Link is legendary for his contribution to Rockabilly and to Rock and Roll through pioneering the power chord, which paved the way for punk, metal, and most contemporary rock that followed him.
